Federal prosecutors are now looking into whether the national enquirer violated an immunity agreement, after Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos claimed it’s parent company tried to blackmail and extort him.
On Friday, sources said prosecutors with the southern district of New York are investigating the conduct of American Media INC.

This comes after Bezos wrote online that AMI threatened to expose photos of him and his mistress, if he didn’t kill a Washington Post investigation of the publisher.
AMI was already entered into a cooperation agreement, for aiding in the case of former Trump Attorney Mchael Cohen.
It could face legal trouble for the Bezos incident, if a crime was committed.
