Job Description

This person contributes to Pepsi Beverages Co’s Capital Management Team success by capitalizing complex Fleet & Other Assets, preparation of PP&E Cash Flow and Supporting schedules, performing asset maintenance and capital spending reconciliations relating to Fleet & Other Assets. Responsibilities include supporting Q schedules, SOX compliance, subsystem account reconciliations, and preparing journal entries for period and quarter close; including performance of processes for analytics of risk/opportunity to PepsiCo?s balance sheet and P&L during close. Additionally, they will support ad hoc requests/projects and will also seek to identify areas for process improvement.

Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

Capital Management:

  • Complete period, quarter, and annual closing of financial statements as it relates to the Fleet & Other Assets balance sheet and P&L
  • Prepare Cash Flow and supporting Q schedules
  • Prepare Fixed Asset reserve journal entries to ensure accurate financials.
  • Prepare reporting schedules to support timely submission of periodic results and quarterly true ups
  • Capitalization in Oracle subsystems of complex Fleet & Other Assets
  • Accounting, reporting & asset maintenance of Fleet sales/disposal and retirements
  • Support of asset maintenance and reconciliation between subsystems (Oracle FA to Fleet Focus)
  • Documentation of processes, controls, and procedures
  • Identify areas of opportunity for automation and process improvement

Additional Support Tasks and Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Sr.Supervisor with analyzing periodic results, including analytics, risk/opps, and other ad hoc requests
  • Supporting compliance of quarterly and periodic SOX procedures and auditor?s request
  • Identifying areas of improvement for acceleration of period close
  • Annual Fleet asset validation
    • Correspondence with HQ Fleet Team & Fleet Field
    • Asset maintenance

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor?s degree in Accounting required and 2+ years of related experience
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Oracle, Essbase and Business Objects
