Directory Services Engineer

Requirements:
Strong communication ability. Able to communicate effectively in person, on phone, email, or text with peers, management, and customers.
Effective time management skills. Able to manage multiple priority items, and keep moving tasks effectively to conclusion.
Documentation Skills. Ability to create technical, and high level documentation for existing systems, and new systems. Manage disaster recovery documentation, and security remediation plans.
Change Control. Must have working knowledge of general change control process.
Critical support services. Must be able to handle emergency escalations, both during business hours and after hours. Must be able to manage critical situations and escalate effectively.
Technical:
Strong Windows 2008, 2012, and 2016 technical, and architectural knowledge.
Strong TCP/IP knowledge, general knowledge of packet tracing
Strong Unix Auth background, specifically around SPN?s and Keytab support
Strong Active Directory knowledge. Architectural and technical competency. Strong knowledge of authentication protocols such as Kerberos, and LDAP.
Strong operational knowledge of AD processes and procedures. Able to quickly evaluate load and crisis situations from AD clients.
Strong knowledge of DNS, interaction with Active Directory. Sites and Subnets. Client communication process with active directory.
Strong Group Policy knowledge.
Architectural knowledge of Microsoft Azure, and web based authentication protocols such as SAML.
Strong Security background around authentication and authorization.
PKI knowledge, and interaction of PKI with Active Directory. Public/Private key exchange, and symmetric key.
Education and Experience Required:
Combined minimum of 6 years? higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management and/or architecture
Education and Experience Preferred:
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Minimum 6 years? professional experience in a technical engineering position involving infrastructure design technologies, data management and interchange, system design and/or development for complex applications
Ability to translate complex business and functional requirements into structured high quality implementations using any variety of industry standard approaches
