[Full-time] Indirect Lending Representative at Horizon Bank

Location: Indiana

As an Indirect Dealer Relationship Manager you will motivate new and existing Auto, RV, Motorcycle and Marine dealers to use Horizon Bank for indirect retail financing. In this role you will perform the following functions: sign dealers to program in the local markets we serve; interface directly with all dealer personnel, train dealers on contracts/worksheets; inform dealers of policy, procedures and price changes; develop pricing/program recommendations for territory; act as a liaison between dealers and Underwriting, Funding, Operations and Collections Departments where credit and other indirect loan decisions are made; monitor ongoing dealer performance such as efficiency ratios, delinquency, losses, profitability etc; increase and maintain required market share levels; and attain volume plan at acceptable business levels. You will also work with third party vendors such as Decision Pro, Dealer Track and Route One to improve efficiencies.


  • Qualify new dealers through sales efforts
  • Meet production/volume goals
  • Travel extensively, generally 75% (minimal overnight travel)
  • Facilitate new dealer sign ups with proper documentation
  • Provide training and service to the Dealer base
  • Identify any dealer with potential risk/exposure to the Bank and proactively notify appropriate Division Management
  • Facilitate and sell the Bank’s promotional programs
  • Assist with any dealer issue and charge back or collection efforts
  • Provide competitive market analysis data for the territory
  • Maintain accurate documentation on all systems regarding contact with dealers
  • Provide new loan/product suggestions to Division Management
  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • One year Consumer credit experience (or relevant financial experience) preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Financial statement analysis experience preferred
  • Knowledge of indirect loan financing & products
  • Excellent sales presentation skills to motivate new clients to use our services & product
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain client relationships
