Job Responsibilities:
GENERAL FUNCTION
To perform general office duties and scanning of legal documents.
SUPERVISES
No supervisory responsibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
A. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Pick up morning mail; open and distribute to appropriate staff. Bundle and take outgoing mail to the County Clerk?s Office.
2. Main telephone receptionist.
3. Enter requests for text notices of court hearings.
4. Reply to all record requests. Prepare billing notice if needed.
5. Daily scanning to meet deadlines. Prepare and bulk scan files.
6. Prepare bulk mailings.
7. Responsible to know and practice the Safety policies of the County. Perform all job tasks in a safe and prescribed manner.
B. OTHER JOB DUTIES
1. Stock supplies.
2. Other duties as may be assigned.

Job Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or the equivalent. One (1) year secretarial, clerical or office experience. Further requirements include typing skills of 45 w.p.m.; working knowledge of computers (Word software) as well as perform data entry on a computer record system, and ability to learn any upgrades and changes that may occur. Accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent organizational skills are a must. Knowledge of the function of the Wisconsin legal system preferred. Basic, everyday living skills are needed, as is the ability to understand and follow oral and written directions and to communicate effectively, verbally. Reading, writing, adding, and subtracting is needed for performing the essential functions of the position.
