Summary
The Strategic Account Representative II (SAR II) is responsible for executing product and revenue plans for the assigned account portfolio, monitoring performance, and reporting on all key performance indicators. In addition, this person leads the offense for long-term Strategic Partnership Planning with these accounts, and has ownership for all aspects of the account relationship. These processes involve the development of strong, internal cross-functional partnerships, a deep knowledge in account planning, brand marketing, channel management, and retail analytics.
The SAR II is responsible for delivering against growth objectives by exploring avenues to expand the business through deeper and/or broader strategic partnership with the account. Having a strong understanding of the dynamics and competitive intelligence within the channel. The ability to utilize market insights, channel information, and financial performance to drive focus with the account is critical to this person?s success.
Responsibilities
- Develops 3-year strategic partnership plans and a vision of the partnership opportunity between Carhartt & the strategic account based on a detailed understanding of the customer?s industry & position in the market
- Determines solutions that meet the account?s business challenges which also benefit Carhartt?s financial performance with the account
- Able to obtain customer commitment to mutually beneficial sales propositions
- Identifies unique, non-standard approaches to creating customer value. Successfully sells idea internally & to the customer
- Capable of discussing customer?s business situation & identify opportunities based on a sound understanding of the issues
- Reacts promptly to issues & provides on-going service. Is seen as a trusted partner by the account
- Prospect and develop new Strategic Accounts within their channel
- Achieve financial goals for sales annually
- Other duties as required
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree Required in Business or Related Field
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree in Business or Related Field
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor?s degree (preferably in business or related field) or equivalent relevant experience
- of 5 years of experience of outside sales within strategic accounts or related experience in retail or apparel
- Demonstrated excellent strategic planning and critical thinking skills; able to develop and initiate breakthrough strategies that fuel business growth
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to communicate plans for ensuring alignment between Minimum initiatives and strategy
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; adept at recognizing who the decision maker is and how to close the sale
- Demonstrates the ability to integrate our brand strategy, Go-To-Market strategy, product knowledge, and knowledge about competition to clearly articulate the benefits of our products over others
- Strong time management and organization skills; is able to accurately identify true priorities and effectively eliminates barriers to success
- Demonstrated ability to recognize selling opportunities in competitive adjacencies in order to displace competitors
- Must be a creative thinker who is able to balance the ?analytical? and the ?intuitive?
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
