Rolling Thunder bikers are set to ride through streets of the nation’s capital one last time, bringing an end to the 31-year tradition.

The event’s founder Artie Muller, recently revealed this year’s parade would likely be the last, due to increasing costs.

Thousands of motorcyclists swarmed the Washington, D.C. area to take part in the 30th annual Rolling Thunder Memorial Day event, May 28, 2017.

He also claimed the group faces frequent harassment from Pentagon security and local police.

Muller noted that he hopes supporters will become involved in rolling thunder chapters across the country, which will have their own Memorial Day weekend demonstrations next year.

President Trump responded with support early Saturday morning, saying in a tweet, he could not believe the group would have a hard time in Washington, adding he will help if he can.
