DUBLIN (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump will visit Ireland either side of a trip to France next month and will likely meet Prime Minister Leo Varadkar during his stay at a Trump golf resort, Ireland’s Newstalk radio station said on Wednesday.
Trump, who canceled his first visit to Ireland in November for scheduling reasons, is due to arrive at the Doonbeg resort on June 5 following his state visit to Britain and return to the Irish west coast on June 7-8 after his stop off in France.
The Irish government is still waiting on official confirmation of the visit, Newstalk said, quoting multiple sources as saying the trip had been confirmed on the U.S. side.
A spokesman for the Irish government was not immediately available for comment.
