WTO rules for U.S. in China grains subsidy dispute

February 28, 2019

GENEVA (Reuters) – The United States won a World Trade Organization dispute ruling on Thursday after challenging China’s price support for grains.

A WTO adjudication panel agreed with the U.S. complaint that China had paid farmers too much for wheat, Indica rice and Japonica rice in 2012-2015, although a disputed corn subsidy had already expired before the dispute began.
